Why air purification can help your skin
.
It is strange how the simple things in life are often the most
effective in transforming our health. Having suffered with Psoriasis
since aged 8, it was only at age 44 that Istumbled upon something
that, I believe, may be very valuable for fellow Psoriasis (and
Eczema) sufferers. It all came about, would you believe, from a
sneezing fit!
A few months ago I suffered an Inguinal Hernia and was laid up
for a week following the operation. In case you re not aware, a
Hernia is a tear in the abdominal wall - in my case it was caused,
of all things, by a sneezing fit!
Following the operation, the wound was quite sore and for the first
few days it was very painful to walk or move about. When I coughed
or sneezed, it felt like someone was extremely painful and literally
felt as if someone was stabbing me in the abdomen.
But, the same sneezing fit that caused my Hernia and gave me so
much pain after the operation, has also helped my long term health
and, more significantly, my skin.
It was following a sneezing fit, whilst laying in bed, that I noticed
the particles of dust floating in the air, reflected in the sunlight.
I've seen them before - and I'm sure you have too - from time to
time when the light catches them just right. But, I've never paid
it much attention.
However, I am allergic to house dust amoungst other things and
seeing how the sneezing fits had given me a Hernia and were now
causing me so much pain, I decided to find out more about household
pollutants. I wanted to see what, if anything, could be done to
stop the sneezing and to 'clean' the air. What i actually discovered
as something that has had a dramatic effect on my health and, in
particular, my skin.
Researching the medical databases I found that there is far more
than particles of dust in the air. There are literally hundreds
of pathogens including bacteria, viruses, mold, spores, dust, chemicals
etc and scientific papers show that these can have a wide variety
of adverse effects on our health. They do a lot more than just cause
sneezing fits.
Many common household items emit pollutants that affect our immune
system. Psoriasis is acknowledged to be an 'immune-related' disorder
and, as a life long sufferer, it suddenly occurred to me that something
as simple as cleaning the environment in which we sleep, live and
work could have a dramatic effect not just on our health - but also
on our skin!
Ninety four percent (94%) of all respiratory ailments are caused
by polluted air according to the American Medical Association, which
also reported that one-third of our national health bill is for
causes directly attributable to indoor air pollution such as toxic
mold damage and black mold problem.
The U.S. Government Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) warns
people that 'Most people are aware that outdoor air pollution can
damage their health but may not know that indoor air pollution can
also have significant effects. EPA studies of human exposure to
air pollutants indicate that indoor air levels of many pollutants
may be 2-5 times, and occasion more than 100 times, higher than
outdoor levels. These levels of indoor air pollutants are of particular
concern because it is estimated that most people spend as much as
90% of their time indoors. In recent years, comparative risk studies
performed by EPA and its Science Advisory Board (SAB) have consistently
ranked indoor air pollution among the top five environmental risks
to public health.'
The list of health problems caused by airborne pollutants in the
home includes allergies, asthma, breathing difficulties, cancer,
central nervous system effects...dermatitis, skin rashes, hair loss...irritability,
itching of the nose, mouth, eyes, throat, skin, or any area, kidney
failure...sinus congestion, sinus problems...skin redness, sleep
disorders, sneezing fits (more than three sneezes in a row, happening
often) sore throat, tremors [shaking]...the list goes on and on.
I knew that I was on to something. It wa all very depressing at
first, but then I came across good news. In my research, I came
across new high tech, air purification units that are compact and
affordable. Ionic units have been tested in studies and one recent
study at Leeds University reported that these units have become:
'a powerful weapon in the fight against hospital-acquired infection'.

For me, the effects were immediate - no more smeezing, no grogginess,
more energy and ... as airborne pollutants come into contact with
our skin, cleaning the air of known pollutants and irritants can
only have a positive effect on our skin.
The good news is that we got in touch with the manufacturers of
the very best units so that we could offer them to our customers
because I feel certain that you'll find them as helpful as I have.
We have limited stock and we have decided to make these units available
to our existing customers this weekend BEFORE they are made available
to any new customers as from Monday next week so that you get the
opportunity to get your unit(s) in the first batch when it arrives
next week. I think you'll find it life-changing.
